theres a concept of time under tension in fitness. the more time your muscles spend constricted, the more they will grow. i like to compare this to iteration cycles of a product. get it out there fast. see if people actually like it. see if people will actually give you money for it. if they do, polish it up a bit and spend more time marketing.
this approach allows you to have a good pulse on your product. you understand what parts of it users are interacting with and what parts users are struggling with. the value proposition becomes clearer as does your ideal customer. the "tension" comes from the feedback of the users and the iteration cycles that follow.
without this "tension", your product has no pulse. building in stealth feels like trying to reanimate a dead body. building in the open feels like assembling pieces of a robot and watching them come to life.
