Most people are full of shit
Most people are full of shit. You can tell by how many layers deep they can go. Only people who have actually tinkered, spent the time, put in the work, can go deep. They can explain how it all works together, what each individual component does, what would happen if you change this, move this etc.
It’s easy to appear as an expert. Get a degree, do a few talks, write a few papers that only a very small audience can understand. Being an “expert” is marketing if you ask me. The most capable people usually are not the loudest.
This also says a lot about a person. People get dopamine in different ways. Some get it by actually doing the work, some get it by talking about it. The latter is cheap and readily available. The former requires time and consistency. Choose which one you want to become wisely.
